Producers who cultivate, care for, and resist

A wild spirit

This is a documentary that delves into the intimate relationship between human beings and the living territories they inhabit in the Western Sierra of Jalisco. Through a process of sensitive observation, the film follows the traces of those who cultivate, protect, and listen to the land, revealing forms of knowledge that resist contemporary extractivist logics.

synopsis

Among landscapes that breathe and communities that sustain ancestral practices such as the production of “wine of the hills,” the figure of a “wild spirit” emerges: an invisible yet palpable force that connects the cycles of nature with memory, the body, and care.

The film proposes an immersive experience where the ecological intertwines with the spiritual, inviting us to rethink the way we inhabit the world.

Rather than offering answers, Un espíritu silvestre opens a space for contemplation and inquiry: what does it mean to live in balance with the Earth in a time of environmental crisis?
